Advanced Nurse Practitioner
Ashleigh is a highly qualified and experienced nurse practitioner who is able to deal with most problems. She has immediate access to a doctor for anything outwith this. Please see our practice leaflet for more details regarding her role.
The practice policy is to encourage a healthy lifestyle, and our nurses run many of the screening programmes, which can help to prevent ill health. If you are invited to attend for such tests, please try to attend, as this can prevent complications in later life. If you want to speak to a practice nurse ring 01779 841208 and the receptionist will be glad to put you through or arrange a suitable time for you to call back.
Our Practice Manager is responsible for the administration and daily running of this busy practice. She is happy to hear any comments or suggestions about the services provided. She is responsible for our secretarial and administration team.

Administrator / Receptionist
Receptionists provide an important link for patients with the practice and are your initial contact point for general enquiries. They can provide basic information on services and results and direct you to the right person depending on your health issue or query. Receptionists make most of the patient appointments with the GPs and nurses. They also perform other important tasks such as issuing repeat prescriptions and dealing with prescription enquiries, dealing with financial claims, dealing with patient records and carrying out searches and practice audits.
Melissa is a qualified prescriber who undertakes the monitoring of disease modifying anti-rheumatic drugs, chronic medication and polypharmacy reviews. She provides support and advice to the doctors/ANPs on prescribing issues. She is currently undertaking extended training in diabetic treatment.
The district nurses provide care for patients that are housebound. Their multifunctional role includes health promotion, teaching, rehabilitation and palliative care. In consultation with the doctors, they can also refer patients to other community services such as physiotherapy and chiropody if required.
